98 - The Pranic Triangle
Question and Answer Forum: Questions From Readers
Question: Can you explain what is the Pranic Triangle?
Answer: Here is a brief explanation. Please
see the link to a video clip on this subject at the end of the
blog.
The “Pranic Triangle” is a term used to describe the three centers of
prana that exist in our etheric body and act as conduits of sun and
earth energy into and out of our physical bodies.
The etheric body is the electromagnetic energy that surrounds, and is a
duplicate, of our physical body. It acts as a permeable sheath through
which “information” passes from the environment to our physical senses
as well as a conduit through which pass information from our internal
senses out to the environment.
The “Pranic Triangle” is made up of three centers that are in the
etheric body. They are the center between the shoulder blades, the
center above the diaphragm, and the center at the area of the spleen.
These three centers act as the main conduit through which the energy
from the sun, called “prana” is absorbed into our physical bodies. This
is how we gain the benefit of the sun. Or, if we are over-exposed to
the sun, this is how the energy of the sun hurts us by overheating or
sunstroke.
The three centers operate as a unit, and if one is not operating
rhythmically, is closed, or not in sync with the others, the energy of
the sun does not circulate properly in our physical system. Each of the
centers is closely related to our thought world, our emotional world,
and our physical food-water-air-exercise activities.
When our thinking is chaotic, the center between the shoulder blades is
affected. When our emotional world is chaotic, the center above the
diaphragm is affected. When we do not consume healthy foods or lack
appropriate exercise, our spleen center is affected. The centers can be
either closed up due to lack of activity, or they can be overtaxed or
overburdened with too much or wrong activity. When the three centers
are not healthy and rhythmic, we do not absorb the benefits of the sun
and our physical body is more susceptible to illness and imbalance.
This Teaching shows how there is a direct physiological impact as a
result of our thoughts, feeling, and ingestion of food/water/pure air.
Similarly, whatever we are on the inside, we dump out to the
surroundings. If we are toxic, that is what goes out. If we are sane
and balanced, that is the energy that we put out to the environment and
the people and life surrounding us.
To heal ourselves and to maintain a balanced and thriving life, we need
to look at the mind-emotion-body connection in terms of the subtle
senses. The Teaching on the “Pranic Triangle” gives us just these tools
to make the connection as to why when our thoughts, emotions, and
physical choices are toxic, we suffer.
As masses of humanity cut themselves off from nature, live in polluted
and congested cities, are unable to have a balanced and rhythmic life,
we are simply removing the natural ability of life to heal us.
Scientific
research is showing how environmental pollution, lack of
educational opportunities and health care, and lack of access to clean
food and water and air shortens our life span, creates stress and
depression, makes us susceptible to disease, impairs learning, and so
much more. There
are
many studies showing these adverse effects in all areas of
life. Social justice means access to choices that will help us grow,
learn, become successful and so on. Environmental pollution is more
than the physical pollution; it is also the emotional pollution, mental
pollution, and psychic pollution (the
subtle
garbage) that we are bombarded with every day. Social
justice is not only physical, but multi layered and complex and
includes our entire being.
If you want to be healthy, balanced, full of faith and optimism, then
take a serious look at your thoughts, emotions, spiritual life, as well
as what you eat and drink and breathe everyday. The choices you make
will condition every part of your life and relationships.
